Let’s look a little more closely at that, shall we?
Here’s what tends to happen. People come into the network marketing profession and end up relying, really heavily on their company training and events. If you are fortunate enough to be a part of a company that has great network marketing training and live events…fantastic! You are truly blessed, my friend, because many people do not have a high level of infrastructure to draw from. I actively encourage you to follow your company training and attend your their events. Both will absolutely help you in building your business.
Is Their Network Marketing Training Enough?
On the flip side, if you’re like me and you’d rather build your business, leveraging social media, then your company-specific trainings are not likely to be sufficient to bring you great success. As wonderful as their network marketing training is, it is very focused on the traditional belly to belly method of prospecting and recruiting. Their training focuses on your warm market and tapping through it to find your aces. That works! I would never disparage it.
BUT, if you are committed to building mostly online, that training will fall somewhat short. Chances are, you will require more targeted social media training. The truth is, most network marketing companies are really not well equipped to handle social media at all.
There are five key categories of network marketing training that you really should tap into, to be well-rounded and super successful. Unfortunately, you likely are not getting them.

These are the five categories you should include in training your tool box…
1- FREE CONTENT:
This refers to the free value put into the marketplace by other marketers in the niche. It could be Facebook posts, blog posts, Facebook Lives, giveaways, webinars and more. The content is provided free of charge and solves a problem for people in the niche.
In so far as network marketing training goes, free content is really just the beginning. If you follow really good people, you can actually pick up some very valuable tips and tricks to help you with your business. As a matter of fact, I personally know of several marketers who provide unbelievably good free value on a daily basis. I’d like to think that I am also one of them!
Your Network Marketing Training Should NOT Stop There…
Now, having said that, you should not stop your learning there. If you focus solely on free content, you’ll end up with a bunch of pieces of the puzzle with no guidance as to how they all fit together. You will be hard pressed to figure it out on your own. Furthermore, even if you can, you’ll likely waste a lot of time, money and energy, doing it.
Free content is just the beginning and it’s a good one. BUT you must add more to your network marketing training, if you want to have big success.

2- PAID CONTENT:
This would include buying course about prospecting, recruiting, blogging…whatever is going to help you build your business. Paid content, would also be, paid webinars, ebooks, boot camps, network marketing and online marketing membership sites and so on. Within this category, I’d also include marketing platforms designed to help you learn everything you need to know to build a big business using social media. There are several, but the one I recommend and use is here.
Look…network marketing and online marketing are easily two of the lowest cost business ventures a person could buy into. There is literally no other opportunity on planet earth that will allow a person with zero business background and very limited means, to potentially create a global empire, for a few hundred bucks up front. Let’s be clear though, just because this industry is a low-cost initiative, does not mean that it’s a NO cost initiative. In reality, if you want to play big, create success and residual money, you WILL have to invest in yourself and your network marketing education. Period.

Building online requires a unique set of skills. Truthfully, they are not hard at all, but there is definitely a learning curve and you’ll need some help navigating it. So, be open to investing in courses and the like.
The people who create and administer this paid content, put a lot of their own blood, sweat and tears into mastering and proving a strategy before bringing it to you. They deserve to be compensated for carving massive amounts of time off of your learning curve. If you want to get there faster…this is actually not negotiable.
Network Marketing Training: You MUST Do THIS!
YES! You must go to live events. I’m certain this does not come as a surprise to you, if you are in network marketing. Most network marketing companies promote their live events very heavily because they understand that big teams are built from event to event. To be sure, attending live events will not guarantee your success, but constantly making excuses to avoid them, will all but guarantee your failure.
Fill The Gaps In Your Online Business Training
That is… hiring a successful individual who will help you one-on-one. This network marketing training strategy is NOT cheap, my friend but there is a reason for that. A good coach can help you create greater success, much faster than doing it yourself. Typically, a personal coach will see things in you and your business that you cannot see, because you’re just too close to it. They will hold you accountable to your goals. You’ll also, most likely show up differently when there is a lot of money on the line.
Though it can be very expensive, a good personal coach will typically, earn you a tremendously good return on your investment, as time goes on. I would highly encourage you to consider hiring a coach, if you are truly ready to start playing big, you have a specific goal you want to achieve or if you’re just ready to get there faster.
